Known for her unforgettable style and sass, Courtney K. entered the world smiling at the magical words “Chanel,” “Louis Vuitton,” and “Hermes.” Her outgoing personality, quick wit and love of fashion lead her to appear as a fashion expert on WTWC NBC’s affiliate in Tallahassee for three years, serve as a fashion and style expert on the nationally televised show iVillage shot in Orlando and numerous segments on Central Florida Television Stations such as WKMG, WFTV, WESH, FOX and Channel 13.
As Courtney’s popularity and demand for her coveted style advice grew in Orlando, the print publications tapped her as a reader’s favorite with on-going fashion columns in Industry Magazine, Orlando Home & Leisure Magazine and Orange Appeal Magazine as well as commissioned her as their main stylist for feature fashion and cover shoots in Orange Appeal Magazine and Central Florida Bride.
The Central Florida community soon followed sourcing Courtney to host and style some of Orlando’s most fashionable events such as “Wine, Women & Shoes”, Winter Park Fashion Week and the ever-popular Winter Park Christmas Parade. As her distinctive style and creativity continued to shine, Central Florida’s most fashionable and famous residents sought Courtney out to design their looks and dress them for Movie Premieres, Red Carpet Events and The Grammy’s to Exclusive White House Dinners and Meetings with the President.
As a television personality, trend writer, fashion resource and celebrity stylist, Courtney has proven over the last fifteen years that her talent and adaptability are limitless. From hosting, writing, styling, merchandising and buying, it seems there is nothing Courtney cannot accomplish in the world of fashion and entertainment. In 2011, Courtney launched The Stylimiste, a Fashion Blog for her followers where she shares her expertise with weekly fashion ideas, current trends, style suggestions and a favored segment called Coveted Tips from a Celebrity Stylist.
Courtney Karem graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising and Textiles. She additionally studied fashion from the European perspective in London and Paris for a more rounded educational view of global fashion. Following her completion of college, Courtney owned and operated an upscale boutique called Courtney K Couture where she expanded her experience in buying, merchandising and professional wardrobe styling while managing day-to-day business operations. In 2004, Courtney was featured as one of Orlando’s most stylish people in Orlando Home & Leisure Magazine and graced the cover of that issue. In her love of all things fashion and entertainment, Courtney’s chutzpah and outgoing personality afforded her the opportunity to create, write and host her own primetime show called Talkin’ About Movies on Brighthouse for over two years. Courtney’s commitment to the Central Florida community continues to run deep as she serves as a board member and supports some of the most active organizations in Orlando.
